2. Trim the Door if Necessary: -If the door is too tall or wide, trim it to fit using a saw. Follow manufacturer guidelines for trimming.

3. Install Hinges: Mark the hinge locations on the door and the door frame. Chisel out recesses for the hinges on the door and frame. Attach the hinges to the door and frame using screws.

4. Hang the Door: With the help of an assistant, position the door in the frame. Insert the hinge pins into the hinge barrels. Test the door to ensure it swings freely and smoothly.

5. Check for Alignment: Use a level to check if the door is plumb and level. Adjust the hinge screws and add shims as needed to achieve proper alignment.

6. Install the Door Knob and Latch: Mark the locations for the door knob and latch on the door. Drill holes for the knob and latch according to the manufacturer's instructions. -Install the door knob and latch mechanism.

7. Adjustments and Testing: Close the door and check for even gaps around the edges. Adjust the strike plate as needed for proper latching. Test the door for smooth operation and make any final adjustments.

8. Weather Stripping (for Exterior Doors): Install weather stripping around the perimeter of the door to enhance insulation and weather resistance.

9. Finish and Seal: Apply a finish or sealant to protect the wood from moisture and other environmental factors.
