The types of paint are roughly divided into phenolic paint, alkyd paint, polyurethane paint, nitro paint, polyester paint, and PU paint. Among them, phenolic paint and alkyd paint are basically eliminated in decoration due to poor film texture and adhesion, and a large number of them use nitrocellulose paint, polyester paint, and PU paint used on high-end furniture. Due to its simple construction and suitability for manual operation, nitrocellulose paint is commonly used for handmade decorative wood, but its paint film is thin, the feel is not good, and the effect is not ideal.
Due to cost processing methods and equipment issues, 90% of the packaged wooden doors in the market use polyester paint, while a few manufacturers use PU paint. Generally speaking, both polyester paint and PU paint undergo six processes, including color finding, three bottoms and two sides. Some brands have added curing and waxing processes.
Therefore, when choosing wooden doors, paint is one of the factors that must be considered, as it directly affects issues such as texture, feel, moisture resistance, environmental protection, durability, and resistance to yellowing.
